The system options determine how AutoMate behaves on a system level.
NOTE: These options can be viewed and modified by an authenticated user through Remote Administration
Only show AutoMate
icon when a task is running
Normally the blue AutoMate icon is visible in the tray at all times. When
this option is selected, the icon disappears unless a task in running,
at which time the icon appears for the duration of the running task. When
the number of running tasks returns to 0, the icon becomes invisible.
Display
Running Task window when a task is running
When this option is selected, a small indicator window will appear in the
bottom righthand corner of the screen when a task runs. The
window displays the name of the task, the step number currently executing,
and total progress of the running task. There
is also a "Stop Task" link that, when clicked, stops the task.
Running
Task windows stack one on top of the other if there is more than one running
task. When
this option is not selected, no window appears and the task runs silently.
Tasks can
always be stopped using Ctrl-Alt-End (see Controlling
and Stopping Tasks for more information)
The following options are only available if "Display Running Task window when a task is running" option is selected:
Display
title bar on Running Task window
When selected, the Running Task window will have a standard windows title
bar, which allows the user to drag the indicator window to a different
position on the screen. When
not selected, the window does not have a title bar and consumes less space
of the screen.
Make Running
Task window always on top
When selected, the indicator window remains above any other windows that
may appear in the same area. When
unselected, the window falls into the background if another window is
placed on top of it. A
hidden indicator window can only be brought to the front if it has a titlebar
(i.e. if "Display title bar on Running Task window" is selected)
